Karl Olga Hospital
New internal guidance system during operation
The Karl Olga Hospital in Stuttgart was founded in 1894 by King Karl and his wife Olga and therefore bears the name of the royal couple. Since 1985 the hospital has been part of the Sana Kliniken AG, Ismaning. Within the scope of a renovation measure, the complete Interior guidance system was renewed by Informationstechnik Meng. The corporate design of the Sana Group was the basis for the planning by Christian Irmler. The realization was carried out in several sections during the ongoing operation of the hospital. The existing signage was dismantled on site and coordinated with the new installation and a conversion of the complete hospital logistics.
The implementation was carried out with the meng signage system quintessenz. In order to make it as easy as possible to update the text on site, the lettering was printed digitally over the entire surface.
The products used from the quintessenz system are door signs, wall and ceiling signposts, overview boards, exchangeable modules and mobile steles.
